Perhaps you have heard of the Brown Scapular, admired St. Thérèse of Lisieux or St. Teresa of Ávila, or simply long to deepen your prayer life. Our free monthly online webinar is a welcoming place to explore Carmelite spirituality from the comfort of your home.

Each month we present a different topic related to prayer, the spiritual life, and the Carmelite tradition. There is no cost, no obligation, and no expectation that you will become a Lay Carmelite. Our goal is simply to help people grow closer to Christ through the riches of the Carmelite tradition.

Each webinar includes:

• A practical introduction to the month's topic

• A short experience of Carmelite prayer

• Time for questions and discussion

• Information about Lay Carmelites and our community

• Resources to continue learning at home

Whether you are simply curious, discerning a vocation, or looking for a deeper prayer life, you are welcome.

• In general, webinars are held on the Tuesday before the Monthly Meeting, from 7-8 pm EST, via Zoom. 

• Registration is required so that we can send you the Zoom link before the meeting. 

• The presentation part of the meeting may be recorded. The conversation parts are not.

• We will not share your email address.

August (Sep 1): Living a Contemplative Life in the World. How Lay Carmelites integrate prayer, family, work, and service.

September: The Carmelite Saints. St. Teresa of Ávila, St. John of the Cross, St. Thérèse, St. Titus Brandsma, and others. 

October (Nov 3): Ask Anything: Prayer and the Spiritual Life. An open discussion about prayer, discernment, and spiritual growth. 

November (Dec 1): Is God Calling Me to Be a Lay Carmelite? Discernment, formation, promises, and what community life is really like. 

December: Ask Anything and Advent Reflection. A shorter Advent meditation followed by open questions and fellowship.
